Instruments: Deckard’s Dream, TR909, Maschine Mk3, Minimoog, Telecaster, Prophet 5, Rhodes Mk2, Yamaha C3, Syntrx, Bass

The way you hold me

The way you told me

To come to bed just a little bit earlier

That’s just what you would do

We sometimes inhabit different worlds

Yet when the worlds coincide

It’s a whirlwind adventure with you

    Hey you

    There are so many worlds

That we can discover and see

    Explore how it feels

            to be alive with you

            when being itself is

            already enough

It isn’t always

So easy to say

What we need from each other

And yet we try, even when it’s not all highs

But then we feel the magnet pull

Our touch electrified

Constellations are drawn aligned

You and me, we know it’s a moment in time

    Hey you

    There are so many worlds

That we can discover and see

    Explore how it feels

            to be alive with you

            when being itself is

            already enough

Blue half thoughts flying

I thought I was dying

The future that I’m scrying

It’s covered up in whys

I swim through the days

With nothing left to say

I’m still finding my way today

New days unfolding

Unknowns change to knowing

The seeds that I’ve been sowing

They start at last to thrive

Yesterday’s impossible

Now seems more viable

Some changes I hadn’t dreamt of

Real today

Haven

Safe haven

I wonder how it took just so long to realize

Why I’m needed here

Maybe it’s just music has a deeper reality

Calls us to believe

You know it ain’t easy

You know it gets blue

You know it ain’t peaches and cream

You know it ain’t all about you

Yet you get up when you fall down

No matter how often

It hurts you still you go on

When the storm catches

Up to you

You lift the sails and fly

You lift the sails and fly

    You wave the doubts goodbye

    And soar the skies

    This is your finest hour

    You ride the power

You know they’re not caring

You know they don’t see

The stories you’ve hid in your tears

The blossoms of all that could be

Yet you go on when it’s harder

Than you dreamed

You lift the sails and fly

You lift the sails and fly

    You wave the doubts goodbye

    And soar the skies

    This is your finest hour

    You ride the power

(Guitar Solo)

You’re stronger

Than you thought

You lift the sails and fly

The Days We Forget (feat. Silja)

Vocals by Silja & Lauri Järvilehto

Instruments: Deckard’s Dream, Juno-106, Drums, Bass, Syntrx, Congas, EFX Fragments, SY99, Prophet 5, Maschine Mk3, Minimoog

You are so loud coming down the slide

Like it was the end of the world

And you smile

It‘s a day in life

In our lives

And then you climb

To the top of the tallest thing you can find

You climb, it‘s your thing

Oh yes, that‘s what you do

These are the days we forget

All the little drops of time

How everyday life slips on by

    And we fly

    From the days gone by

    We rush

To a future that is mostly

    unknown

To moments that are yet to be

    shown

    To forget again

You dip your toe in the freezing ocean

You dive in the water soon anyway

It’s a day in life

In our lives

And some days we fight

But it‘s all right as in the end we make up

We laugh and we cry

A day in our lives

These are the days we forget

All the little drops of time

How everyday life slips on by

    And we fly

    From the days gone by

    We rush

To a future that is mostly

    unknown

To moments that are yet to be

    shown

    To forget again

You keep asking questions all the time

That I don’t have the answers for

But it’s all right

It’s so good that we think

You hug a book

And turn the page

Your imagination flies to private worlds

And we’re here

It’s a day in our lives

These are the days we forget

All the little drops of time

How everyday life slips on by

    And we fly

    From the days gone by

I’ve been searching for you, I guess, most of my life

I’ve been finding you now and again

Yet when think I’m home

Everything’s so strange

Heaven is here

Somedays and others I’m

Lost in the maze of my own very mind

I’ve been hungry so long, looking for you

I’ve been crying out to find the path

The fold where I belong

Where I can be with you

Heaven is near

Yet I keep sliding, I’m

Lost in the maze of my own very mind

I can’t imagine what else I will find

What if I just relaxed into the night

And gave up with the fight

Maybe I’d learn a thing or two

Some of life’s do’s and not to do’s

What if I leaned into the wind

And let the future draw its course, I’m in

Maybe the pieces fit

One can hope this is it

    Don’t respect my feelings

    When my mind is reeling

    It’s a little jarring

    When the moment’s sliding

    I prefer this Moomin

    Weather to a groovin’

    Tropic paradise

Don’t you think there should be some other ways we could

    be thinking it in?

What if I left it all behind

All these worries dragging me down

Somehow I doubt that this

Is the extent of all there is

I guess I’ll just roll with the punches

Whenever the punches come

I don’t think it’s all there

Maybe it’s best to get real

    Don’t respect my feelings

    When my mind is reeling

    It’s a little jarring

    When the moment’s sliding

    I prefer this Moomin

Vocals by Silja & Lauri Järvilehto

Instruments: Juno-106, Rhodes Mk2, Deckard’s Dream, Drums, Telecaster, Bass, Perkons, Prophet 5

My little Butterfly

This is the night tonight

This is our time to fight

This is the way

Our dues are paid

We will go out tonight

My little Butterfly

Now is no time to die

Lights will carve paths for us

Our enemies fall

Our friends stand tall

Our time will come tonight

My little Butterfly

We will go eye to eye

Ours is the glory fight

We will prevail

We will set sail

Head out to sea tonight

We will go out tonight

We’ll stand our ground and fight

My little Butterfly

Take my hand, come

The beat of the drum

Will be our guide tonight

    Everything you see

    Is another you

    The other is you too

    The fight is just a

    Flash in the pan

    When our hearts

    Sort themselves out

My little Butterfly

We only have tonight

We must be set to fight

Ours is the might

We stand for right

We’ll set the world alight

My little Butterfly

Listen to me tonight

Carve the world open wide

You have the chance

Only you can

Set the world right tonight

    But everyone you see

    Is another you

    The other is you too

    The fight is just a

    Flash in the pan

    When our hearts

    Sort themselves out

My little Butterfly…

My little Butterfly…

My little Butterfly…

Fair Insight

Instruments: Rhodes Mk2, Bass, Perkons, Drums, Minimoog, Deckard’s Dream, Telecaster

The road ahead is clear

My mind is near

To breaking down, it sears

Burning embers, fears

The heart-aches and the tears

From so many woes my mind

Alights

I’m so tired of sleeping

All this time, the creeping

Lifeblood, oh it’s seeping

Out of me, I’m freaking

I’ve got to take a stand

I’ve got to capture

Fair insight

The rainbow bubbles blowing in my mind

    The endless desire to rewind

You can dig deeper or you’ll reach out high

To catch the string before it slips untied

The world around is closing

Medals won through posing

Leaders smiling, moseying

They don’t care they’re causing

Heart-aches and the tears

For so many torn in woes

In life

I once thought worth fighting

The way onwards and guiding

A clearer path to widening

Our shared understanding

I had a stake in life

I tried to find out

Fair insight

The rainbow bubbles blowing in my mind

    The endless desire to rewind

You can dig deeper or you’ll reach out high

To catch the string before it slips untied

Whippoorwill

This is the whip

This is the poor

This is the will of the people

This is what we, what we all want

This is what cracks

This is who hurts

This is the big misdirection

Isn’t this what, what we all want?

This is the story of our humankind

This is a story we tell our kids every night

    This is the wishing well

    Wishing you well

    Wishing it all went well

    This is the Liberty Bell

    It’s an Orphean Hell

    It’s a story that we shouldn’t tell

    So sings the Whippoorwill

    So sings the Whippoorwill

This is the flame

This is the fuel

This is the bonfire building

This is what we, what we all need

This is the stand

This is the time

This is the big revelation

Isn’t this what, what we all need?

This is the story of our humankind

This is the story we tell ourselves every night

    This is the wishing well

    Wishing you well

    Wishing it all went well

Hey Kid

Hey Kid

Hey kid, you’ve done some dumb stuff in life

And I bet you’ll go on to do some more

Dove head first in the dirty water pool by the harbor

That could’ve been the last thing you did

And all those times when you hurt the feelings of those

You should’ve been standing up for and treating with respect

Boy, you’ve been cutting the lines and you’ve bending the rules, it’s a wonder

how little you’ve burned

Hey kid

It wasn’t all bad

Some of the moments were grand

You only have one single life to spare

Why don’t you treat it with all of your love and care

Don’t go wasting all your precious days that are here

You don’t know how much you still have left

Sometimes the hardest thing’s what you don’t want to hear

The ghosts of days gone they lurk always somewhere near

You take the steps that you take and every day you can learn some

more

I guess you call it a life

Hey kid, I bet you wish you could make

Some of the stupid things you did come undone

But what is said and done is gone, you need to live with it

At least you know how sorry you are

And yeah, I know you didn’t really get what you did

You were just speeding so fast you couldn’t see what you wrecked

If I could turn back the time, if I could come say hi

There’s a lot of stuff that we should undo

Aliens Don't Change Lanes

Aliens Don't Change Lanes

It’s them – they’re here again

The aliens that speak sand

They bend the space

They loop the time

They want to understand

Why humans are so beautiful

Yet spiteful little things sometimes

The universe is a big place

And there’s still some room to grow

    Aliens don’t change lanes

It’s them – they’ve come tonight

The aliens with no face

They spin the words

They turn the worlds

To find another space

Their potential is beautiful

Beyond our wildest hopes and dreams

If only we could grow a bit

And rise to earn their trust

Some time from now it all will seem

    Yes, momentarily so clear

The understanding will keep sinking in

    It’ll drive away the fear

    Yet the aliens, they’re here

    We must keep on learning

Yet none of us speaks sand

It’s them – they came at last

The aliens of the past

They learn our ways

They teach us means

To build a change that lasts

We need all help that we can get

They'll only get us started, oh

We have to go the extra mile

But none of us speaks sand!

Some time from now it all will seem

    Yes, momentarily so clear

The understanding will keep sinking in

    It’ll drive away the fear

    Yet the aliens, they’re here

    We must keep on learning

Yet none of us speaks sand

Ghost Story

[Radio transmission]

Various apparitions and spooks, I fear to say ghosts, have been spotted in the neighborhood.

People are advised to lock their doors and turn up the lights to avoid attracting the attention of the apparitions.

Officials are still investigating the nature of the phenomenon, meanwhile please follow the appropriate guidelines to avoid contact with the spooks.

And if any should creep up on you – God help us all!

The night is falling and doors are closed

Lights are turned up now everywhere

But almost no-one knows

That the creatures of the night are drawn to light

When you feel your skin is tingling

When the hair on your neck is prickling

    They are here

    Close by

Spooks, ghosts and ghouls crawl their nightly rounds

You’d think they’re figments of your mind

And yet the spook attack

Hides right behind your back

Right outside your reach

When you feel your skin is tingling

When the hair on your neck is prickling

    They are here

    Close by

Memory

Memory

There are so many things I don’t remember

So many moments that I think are dead to me

Passages in books that I’m quite sure I’ve read

Storylines and heroes gone for good

It’s almost as if there is no continuum

No endless chain of days to call a life

The snapshots follow one another

In a manner that is rather disconnected from reality

    (Memory)

    Memory, oh so quiet

    (Memory)

    Where are you?

    (Memory)

    Where are you?

    (Memory)

I once thought dementia came down when you’re older

Me, I’ve forgotten since the day that I was born

Connections that are flooded by the stream of time

Old ideas that I think I had – all gone

The tears in the rain, now lost forever

They glitter only by Tannhäuser Gate

The android sleeping, dreaming of the sheep

How Rutger made him real by nothing but the simple make believe?

    (Memory)

    Memory, oh so quiet

    (Memory)

    Where are you?

    (Memory)

    Where are you?

    (Memory)

Yet there are things that I don’t want to remember

Things that haunt me when I go to sleep

The ghosts of the past lurk right behind the curtain of reality

The curtain of reality

    (Memory)

    Memory, oh so quiet

    (Memory)

    Where are you?

Sunshine

Sunshine in your eyes, sometimes a gateway to a new world

Like Sunday mornings when we’ve all the time in the world to wake up

The twinkle in your eyes will light the way all the way to farthest lands

To fantasies unlike anything we’ve ever dreamed of before

    It’s like travel without moving

We’re not going, no, we’re flying

    It’s like travel without moving

We’re not going, no, we’re flying

We’re dancing through the night, the world around us spins into a blur

Time takes a break and leaves us falling deeper in this thing called love

We ride the roller-coaster like our lives depended on it, oh yes, they do

Let’s scale the mountainside and make a chain to fight against the wind

    It’s like travel without moving

We’re not going, no, we’re flying

    It’s like travel without moving

    We’re not going...

Geek and a Biker

You want a geek and a biker

And a cook and a hiker

And a star and a moon

But I’m just me

A Casanova, Gold’n Retriever

Want a rebel, a believer

And a serf and a seer

But it’s me

Who am I supposed to be?

    What, some kind of fantasy?

The more I peel, the less I see

    The truth remains a mystery

You want a rock and a river

A gorilla and a giver

A Corey and a River

But it’s me

You want a king and a piper

Baby seal and a sniper

A Picard and a Riker

But it’s me

Who am I supposed to be?

    What, some kind of fantasy?

The more I peel, the less I see

    The truth remains a mystery

No-one is asking this of me

Except the shades of history

I dig my heels, for now I see

A little bit more clearly

The you, I think, is really me…

Who am I supposed to be?

    What, some kind of fantasy?

The more I peel, the less I see

    The truth remains a mystery

You Are (feat. Silja)

You are – you are my destiny

I can’t imagine the journey

Without you there sharing it (with me)

You are – you are my everything

You are the source for the meaning

Of life and the universe and everything

You are – you are so beautiful

Oh yes, the kindness you radiate

The wholeness you bestow (on the world)

You are – you are my savior

Without you I’d have drowned under

All the temptations of the world
